Danny and Gina were married on a beautiful Fall afternoon in downtown San Jose. They first met their freshman year at Cal Poly and hit it off right away. They quickly bonded over the fact that they both come from big Italian families. They exchanged stories of fond memories growing up with delicious home-cooked meals. I asked Gina when she knew she wanted to marry Danny and she said as soon as she met him, she started telling her friends she was going to marry him. Now six years later and her word became a reality.

Gina grew up in San Jose and it is now the place these two will start their lives together as husband and wife. Gina got ready in her childhood home with her family and close friends. Right before leaving to see Danny. she shared in a first look with her dad. She walked down the stairs and we captured a sweet Father-Daughter first look that her dad had been looking forward to all day!

We headed to downtown San Jose a few blocks from the Cathedral for portraits before the wedding ceremony. Danny and Gina did a good amount of long distance during their relationship. Danny was on the East Coast playing baseball and during that time Gina got Gus their fur baby. Gus greeted them for family photos right before the ceremony. He’s the cutest chocolate lab and was full of energy and excitement.

Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph in downtown San Jose was where we headed for the ceremony in the evening. The Cathedral was breathtaking and such a pretty backdrop for Danny and Gina to say “I do”. From there, guests were invited to downtown Campbell at Villa Ragusa for the rest of the wedding events. The couple opted to have a live band play at their wedding. Live bands really add a fun element to a wedding! The musicians were so talented and kept everyone entertained, even just watching from their seats. After toasts and first dances were complete, Gina shared a very special dance with her Papa. From there, everyone was up on their feet, dancing the night away! What a fun wedding weekend!
