A Downtown San Jose Wedding
Danny&Gina were married in in the heart of downtown San Jose at the beautiful Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph with an elegant indoor ballroom reception at Villa Ragusa to follow. At soon as you step foot in this well known Bay Area Cathedral, your breath is taken away by the ornate stained glass, incredibly high ceilings and amazing detail everywhere you look.
Friends and family from all over California traveled to Danny and Gina’s beautiful Fall wedding. Gina got ready at her childhood home in San Jose, California where she relaxed poolside and sipped champagne with her bridesmaids before slipping into her wedding dress. We then headed towards the church in downtown San Jose for the first look followed by bridal party portraits.
About Danny&Gina
They first met their freshman year at Cal Poly and hit it off right away. They quickly bonded over the fact that they both come from big Italian families and had heard similar Italian phrases from their grandmothers growing up. They exchanged fond memories growing up with delicious home-cooked Italian meals.
Dating throughout the rest of their college years, Gina graduated with a degree in Agricultural Systems Management with a minor in Agricultural Business and Danny was drafted by the Boston Red Sox, graduating shortly after with a degree in Industrial Technology.
It was during that time after school doing long distance that Gina adopted Gus their chocolate lab to keep her company while being a part from Danny. Danny soon adopted Gus as well and the entire family fell in love with him. He made an appearance during portrait time and was so excited to see his parents.
An Elegant Indoor Ballroom Reception
After the San Jose wedding ceremony, everyone was invited to downtown Campbell where the wedding venue Villa Regusa is located. After toasts and dinner were served, guests were invited to surround the couple for first dances. Danny and Gina opted for a live band which always gives the party a very organic and lively feel. Guests sang along with the band all night long and they did an awesome job entertaining and involving the entire family! Gina shared in a special dance with her grandfather which put a huge smile on everyones face and tears in their eyes! There wasn’t a single moment during the night that the dance floor was empty, this crew knows how to have a great celebration!
