Memorable Monday - Happy Anniversary Jovanni&Laura!

This time last year, we were in Panama for Stephen’s sister’s wedding. It was one we will never forget. Happy one year anniversary Jovanni&Laura! Although we loved traveling to Panama for a break from the cold weather here in Chico, we’re loving being home this year for Christmas. We’ve been enjoying bundling up, having to put on boots and sweatshirts as we go out of the house. Our favorite place to work from at home during this time of year is in our family room. We sit together on the comfiest couch imaginable right in front of the fire sipping on our coffee in the morning.

Puerto Vallarta Destination Wedding Photographer - Zach&Tana

Zach&Tana planned the most amazing destination Mexico wedding in Puerto Vallarta at the Vidanta Resort. In attendance were 100 of their closest friends and family who traveled from afar to celebrate during the whole week leading up to their wedding. To have that many guests travel to a destination wedding really says a lot about the loyalty and character of Zach&Tana!

Northern California Wedding Photographer - Jeff&Tosha

Jeff&Tosha were married on Tosha's dad's Ranch in Northern California on a beautiful Fall day. Among the perfect overcast skies for photos, a beautiful sunset, Tosha's favorite donuts to share with guests, and a very sweet number of toasts given, this was such a special wedding day!

Outer Banks North Carolina - My Pursuit Retreat Takeaways

It has been a whirlwind for us these last few weeks, to say the least! Stephen went to a convention in Minnesota, came home and then we hosted the Vivify Workshop in the Bay Area. From there we went to a marriage retreat in Chico, then that night we packed up for our destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. After returning home for a few days, I jumped onto another airplane off to the East Coast for the annual Pursuit Retreat in North Carolina. While sometimes back to back travel can be exhausting, we are so thankful for this job that allows us to travel not only for work but amazing retreats and getaways like I was able to do last week.

Chico Engagement Photography - Jason&Rachel

Jason&Rachel met in Chico while going to college here. Their first date was to Mom's, a very popular breakfast spot here in Chico. Since that restaurant is extremely special to them, it will be the same catering place that will be serving their wedding guests next year. Stephen and I also love breakfast and has become our favorite meal to go on a date to. We love that Jason&Rachel share this in common with us and think it's so great that they are including this special date into their wedding theme for guests to enjoy. Now every time we go to breakfast, we'll be thinking about Jason&Rachel and the first date they had together.

V. Sattui Winery Wedding Photography - Michael&Cassie

We have been looking forward to this wedding from the moment Cassie contacted us. I went to elementary school with Cassie and was thrilled to hear she had met such an amazing man. After meeting Michael, it's so very clear how these two are meant to be together. Earlier this Spring, Stephen and I traveled to Atlanta, where these two have been living for the last few years, for their destination engagement session. We had a little taste of how incredible their wedding would be based on the few hours we spent together on that trip.

Memorable Monday - Minnesota Adventure

We've heard it said that October is to Photographers what April is to Accountants. This is totally true, Fall time is always so busy for us. That's when we schedule most of our following year's engagement photo sessions, book commercials for the Winter and have most of our meetings for next year's potential weddings. There always seems to be a lot of traveling to be had these Fall months as well. We're grateful for the busyness but excited to "slow down" during the holidays. For those that run their own business, you know there really isn't a "slow season". Just a less busy season where our focus shifts from weddings every weekend. For us, we always like to use that time to dream and evaluate the systems and workflows we have in place.

Memorable Monday - Early September 2017

When September hits, I mentally think that means Fall weather should be right around the corner. Do you do the same thing? Usually, that desire for cooler weather, all things pumpkin and going to Apple Hill really doesn’t get fulfilled until later in September or even October. Chico’s summer weather tends to linger around so until that cool weather actually hits, keep sending us those Autumn vibes!

Destination Charleston Lifestyle Portrait Session - Spencer Family

The Spencer family is very near and dear to our hearts. Jonathan and Erin are one of our TréCreative couples who got married in January of 2014 in Florida.  These two have been huge supporters of TréCreative and although we don’t live anywhere near each other, we’ve loved staying connected over social media. One of Erin’s bridesmaids just so happened to get engaged a few years later and that is how we ended up going to Charleston for Shawn&Lauren’s wedding!

Destination Chicago Kinzie St. Bridge Engagement Photos - Miles&Bailee

Miles and Bailey are from California and will be getting married in Sacramento this December. They recently moved to Chicago from Arizona for Bailey’s clinical rotation. That’s a huge climate change but it was such a treat for us to escape Chico’s hot summer days for a weekend in Chicago. This is the second time we’ve traveled to Chicago for a destination engagement session and we absolutely love this city! The views are breathtaking and the city is so walkable. Not to mention the world famous deep dish pizza we indulged in after their photo session. It’s a must visit for us again!
